25.EXPERIENCE IN THE CLASSROOM

REPORTED SPEECH

Hello everyone.

Today, I'm going to talk about a new topic because of a classroom in my university and it's about reported speech which it mean how we represent the speech of other people or what we ourselves say like there are two main types of reported speech: direct and indirect speech. Moreover, The reporting clasuses incluides a verb such as say, tell, ask and reply.

Direct speech: it's a representation of the actual words someone said and it's usually has a reporting verb in the past time. the most common reporting verbs is said. On the other hand, indirect speech focuses more on the content of what someone said rather than their exact words. In indirect speech, the structure of the reported clause depends on whether the speaker is reporting a statement.

We use comparatives to compare two things or two people.
